But all that is in the past, since the government has been fighting against these cartels and winning the fight eradicating this issue, now, the biggest, most important and awaited result has been achieved, the government has sign a peace agreement with the country’s main illegal group, FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia), this agreement has had given to the country a new era, a new beginning to start something brand new.

As we mentioned before, the government and the FARC group has signed a peace agreement after 4 years of negotiations in la Havana, Cuba, the two parts agreed to a ceasefire. This agreement has had improved the country’s’ security in a big way, we can say that this could be the biggest benefit of the ceasefire. The areas that once was dangerous and impossible to go due to security issues are now war-free and open to anyone willing to reaching them, this is a great opportunity to see places, landscapes, flora and fauna never seen before.
